Kathrine Kolokithas joined the State Historic Preservation Office in 2017 as the Survey Coordinator specifically to re-establish a program that had languished for a number of years. Since then, Katie has worked to update guidelines and establish procedures around the above-ground historic resource survey program as well as work collaboratively with other SHPO staff to improve office functions in relation to identification and survey work. Katie, along with several others, worked to lead staff through a process improvement procedure to establish updated guidelines for conducting identification work for Section 106 compliance projects as well as manage the SHPO's research requests portal.
