Jesica is the Continuum of Care Coordinator for the Michigan Balance of State CoC. The Balance of State CoC consists of 61 of Michigan’s most rural counties spanning from the northernmost tip to the southernmost counties in the state. Prior to joining the Balance of State, she was the Homeless Assistance Specialist for MSHDA ESG to the UP and Northern Lower Michigan, and had previously worked as the Coordinator for the Grand Rapids/Wyoming/ Kent County Continuum of Care for five years. Jesica has also worked to support children’s welfare internationally, people exiting jail and prison, children with developmental disabilities, and survivors of domestic violence and sexual assault. She has a bachelor’s degree in Political Science and master’s in Organization and Community Practice Social Work, both from Michigan State University.
