Michael Polsinelli received his Bachelor of Science degree from Michigan Technological University and his law degree from the Michigan State University College of Law. He worked for the City of Detroit’s Law Department and joined the Detroit HUD Office of General Counsel (OGC) in 1994. While with OGC, Michael served as a general attorney working in all of HUD’s program areas; however, his particular focus was on multifamily production, multifamily enforcement and public housing. Michael joined St. James Capital (now SunTrust), a HUD approved MAP lender, in 2004 and served as its Chief Legal and Operating Officer until August of 2009. In August 2009, Michael returned to HUD where he served as the Director of Production for the Detroit Multifamily Hub until 2014. He currently is the Director of the Detroit Field Office of the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development, with jurisdiction over the entire State of Michigan.
