Melissa Draughn is the Director of Social Work at the Hannan Center. She has been a professional social worker since 2011. She was a therapist and case manager in the community integrated health setting for 8 years. She was also a discharge social worker at an inpatient psychiatric hospital. These experiences allowed her the opportunity to work with and help those dealing with depression, substance abuse, suicidal ideation, anxiety and environmental issues. While she has worked with a diverse population throughout the years, her passion is in the gerontology field. She enjoys helping others advocate for what they need in order to thrive.

She joined the Hannan Center in July 2019 in order to help continue it’s legacy of helping older adults age in place. Hannan Center currently offers an adult day program, caregiver services, case management, mental health, weekly telephone reassurance calls, and support groups for adults 55 and up.
