As a real estate tax specialist, I advise my clients on planning concerns related to community development incentives, purchases and sales, partner buy-outs and redemptions, and tax and debt structuring.

Furthermore, I consult with clients on how to best utilize the new opportunity zone incentive. As the firm leader of this investment vehicle, I work with those seeking to create opportunity zone funds and am involved in a coalition to help policymakers shape regulations and legislative corrections. I also regularly speak about the opportunity zone program to associations and at conferences.

Outside of the real estate realm, I’m a member of our wealth management tax group where I proactively help individual and family office clients minimize their income, estate, and gift taxes.

I received my B.B.A. in accounting from Michigan State University. I belong to the AICPA, the Michigan Association of CPAs, and the Urban Land Institute.
