Callan Eschenburg is an Apprenticeship Specialist with the Michigan Department of Labor and Economic Opportunity – Workforce Development (LEO-WD) State Apprenticeship Expansion team. Current initiatives include managing multiple U.S. Department of Labor (USDOL) and State of Michigan funded grant initiatives to expand Registered Apprenticeship across the state and enhance Registered Apprenticeship Program opportunities for Michigan employers and residents.

Prior to his current position with LEO, Callan served as Project Manager for the Expanding Community College Apprenticeships (ECCA) initiative at the American Association of Community Colleges, a $20 Million Cooperative Agreement with USDOL to serve 16,000 Registered Apprenticeships over a 3 year period. Callan has also previously served as a Project Manager with Henry Ford College on the Advance Michigan Center for Apprenticeship Innovation - a $4 million, 5 year project expanding registered apprenticeship in the State of Michigan, and the Multi-State Advanced Manufacturing Consortium USDOL TAAACCT Grant - a $15 million dollar project comprised of 13 colleges in 10 states.
A native of Southeast Michigan, Callan holds a Bachelor’s degree and Master’s of Public Administration, both from The Ohio State University.
