Deidre Butterworth is the Policy Manager for the Michigan State Housing Development Authority’s Housing Choice Voucher Program coordinating policy development, research, program administration, and education for a rental assistance program serving more than 28,000 individuals and families statewide. In her role, Deidre also oversees MSHDA’s Special Purpose Vouchers, Pilot Programs, and Initiatives, which include the Family Unification Program, Foster Youth to Independence, Stability Vouchers, and Veteran’s Affairs Supportive Housing programs, and partnerships with the Department of Corrections and the Department of Health and Human Services, and agencies throughout the state. Deidre has been with the Housing Choice Voucher Program for nearly 15 years and previously worked in various communities providing affordable housing with Low-Income Housing Tax Credits. Deidre holds a bachelor’s degree from Michigan State University (Go Green!) in Psychology and a Master of Science in Administration.
