Ani is a geriatric social worker turned community and systems designer focused on how we move throughout and interact with our built environment. She manages Detroit Disability Power's Disability Access Consulting program, which provides fee-for-service support to a range of clients across industries. Ani believes that our homes, streets, transportation modes, and public space must be designed in a way that facilitates mobility, togetherness, belonging, dignity and safety for all. In addition to removing barriers in our infrastructure, Ani is passionate about preserving places of joy in Detroit, and ensuring that long time, aging Detroiters can continue to access these spaces as the city develops and changes.
