Mirada Carter joined the US Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) in February 2020. Mirada serves as a Branch Chief with the Office of Asset Management, Detroit Multifamily Satellite Office. She has over 22 years’ experience and obtained her master’s in public administration and a graduate certificate in public personnel management from Eastern Michigan University.
Before joining HUD, she served as Housing and Infrastructure Manager with Washtenaw County Government, Assistant Vice President, Community Outreach Officer, with Old National Bank and the Section 8 Housing Manager with the City of Ann Arbor Housing Commission.
Mirada brings an extensive perspective as a Branch Chief, having held leadership positions with multifamily and single-family affordable housing developments, Community Reinvestment Act (CRA) lending, HUD entitlement and competitive grant programs, down payment assistance and homeownership programs, Public Housing and Housing Choice Voucher (Section 8).
