Michael Manthiram started working for the federal Government through the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers in 2021 and he served one year in California as an Architect responsible for creating and negotiating task orders for various military and civil works projects in the western part of the country. Mike, as he prefers to be referred to, joins the HUD Detroit Field Office as an Account Executive in 2022. He currently serves HUD as a Construction Analyst and maintains a small portfolio of properties.
Prior to working for the federal government, Mike worked for the Detroit Housing Commission for 17 years, He managed various major renovation projects for existing townhomes and highrise buildings. In additional to the total gut rehab projects, he also managed the replacement of building mechanical systems for highrise buildings. And he also managed the demolition of highrise buildings and the new development and construction of over 500 new rental properties throughout Detroit. Through his experience with DHC he learned asset management and new development knowledge.
