David received his B.S. in Biological Aspects of Conservation from the University of Wisconsin – Madison, including a semester abroad in New Zealand. David lived in Chicago for 10 years, working in environmental sales and consulting, before joining Elevate, a nonprofit focused on sustainability. At Elevate, David worked on Demand Response and Energy Efficiency utility programs. After the family relocated to Ann Arbor, he joined DTE and spent 2 years running a residential demand response program and 5 years managing the DTE Energy Efficiency Assistance program, working with 40 nonprofits to deliver energy efficiency to communities in need. David is now a Portfolio Manager at Walker-Miller Energy Servies, where he serves as the Program Manager for the Michigan Home Energy Rebates program. David is also the co-founder of Mothfire Brewing Company, located in Ann Arbor.
