As the director of external affairs, Emily is responsible for enhancing public awareness, cultivating key partnerships, and strengthening CEDAM’s position as a statewide leader in affordable housing, economic inclusion, and community development.
Over the past nine years at CEDAM, Emily has worked to provide emerging developers, nonprofits, and municipal leaders with training opportunities that support locally-driven community development and affordable housing initiatives. Overseeing CEDAM’s Housing Development and Communications teams, she continues to work toward cultivating a strong, equitable housing development ecosystem.
Emily lives in Southwest Detroit and enjoys all that the city has to offer by way of music, sports, art, and food. Emily spends much of her time scratching her itch for competitiveness in Detroit’s neighborhood soccer league. She is passionate about the city’s revitalization efforts that prioritize housing stability, walkable neighborhoods, and access to resources.
