Renovare Development is a woman owned social impact development company that is working on transformational projects throughout the State of Michigan. This session will focus on two of their projects designed to deliver missing middle and workforce housing.

 Renovare will be developing 46 for-sale homes on a publicly owned site within the Historic Depot Town in Ypsilanti. The design will be based on the missing middle format and will feature townhomes, detached row homes and duplexes. Fifty percent of the units will be set aside for qualified households making 40%-120% of area median income. The session will focus on utilizing Brownfield TIF to fund the down payment assistance

Munising Marketplace is a mixed-use development with 36 units of mixed-income housing and 8,500 square feet of commercial space.Renovare Development is working with a broader coalition of workforce agencies including Michigan Works! to create a comprehensive workforce development initiative designed to combine job skill training, housing, wrap around services, and direct placement to living-wage employment opportunities for businesses occupying the development, as well as other local businesses.
