Jadira Hoptry, Senior Vice President and Director of Community Lending and Development for First Merchants Bank. Jadira directs the development, management, and implementation of affordable homeownership and business lending services with focus on redevelopment and Minority Majority neighborhoods across the First Merchants footprint in partnership with key community organization. During her 20+ years tenure in the banking Industry in multiple positions such as Banking Center Manager, Small Business Relationship Manager, SBA lender, Emerging Market Manager and Community & Economic Development Manager, Jadira received the most enjoyment by implementing inclusive economic mobility programs for underserved communities. Her greatest pride comes from seeing that many of the programs her and her team developed has been incorporated in the organization’s regular business practices and more importantly these strategies have brought positive impact in the community we served. She graduated from the University of Florida with a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration and a minor in Human Resources and Management. Jadira has complemented her education with Economic Development Finance Professional Certification Program and Housing Development Finance Professional Certification Program, by the National Development Council (NDC). As a passionate advocate for Inclusive Economic Mobility and Community Development, she serves as LISC Indianapolis; Vice- Chair of Advisory Board, Prosperity Indiana; Board Member and Chair of the Diversity Equity and Inclusion Committee, Bankable CDFI Board of Directors, Advisory Member of the COCIC – Franklin County Land Bank and Indiana Latino Institute, Board Member. At home, she loves spending time with her husband, extended family, and dog. She loves the water, outdoor activities, reading as well as volunteering through partnering organizations and various United Way agencies
