Eric Hufnagel is the CEO of the Michigan Coalition Against Homelessness and has over 40 years of experience supporting vulnerable populations through leadership, advocacy, and volunteerism at local, state, and national levels. His nonprofit career spans executive leadership, program management, and community engagement. Eric serves on Michigan’s Interagency Council on Homelessness and the Homeless Policy Council, which oversees the state’s Campaign to End Homelessness. He is also a member and former chair of the Michigan Balance of State Continuum of Care Governance Committee. In addition to his professional work, Eric is an elected official in St. Johns, Michigan, where he served four years as mayor. He holds a bachelor’s degree from Michigan State University and a Master of Public Administration from Western Michigan University. Eric is deeply committed to advancing equitable, evidence-based solutions to homelessness and building collaborative systems that promote housing stability and social justice.
