Warm-ups are a crucial part of the rehearsal process for many reasons, but are particularly crucial as a daily reminder of a group’s focus & guiding principles. In the spirit of developing individual musicianship as one of those guiding principles, this session will detail ways for directors to use daily warm-ups to develop fundamental ensemble skills, build students’ confidence in their own musicality, and strengthen ensemble pride through leadership opportunities.
