This session will introduce and provide examples of Project Based Learning (PBL) and how it can be used to enrich and extend student learning in the music classroom. This interactive session will explore how PBL can be embedded in a music class beyond concert performances. Specifically, this session will explore how PBL can be used to connect students and their learning with local communities beyond their classroom, all the while rooting students’ learning in authentic, real-world experiences.
