Many studies have shown the musicians respond positively to conductors who use expressive gesture on the podium. In this interactive clinic session, conductors of all experience levels will have the opportunity to discuss and practice non-verbal gesture to help improve podium expressiveness. Emphasis will be placed on eye-contact, facial expression, and body motion. Attendees will leave with a series of exercises to help them become more comfortable with being expressive on the podium.
