"Music is a spirit, a most wonderful spirit, given to all of us by the Creator before we are born. All that we need to do is develop it" (Kwasi Dunyo, Ewe master drummer). This workshop will explore Ghanaian drumming, dancing, and singing through an Ewe piece called Bobobo. Participants will engage in a hands-on experience with Ewe music, learn about the context of the music, and think about ethical ways to implement a world music praxis in their classrooms.
