Does incorporating improvisation into your secondary instrumental ensemble make you nervous? This session will demonstrate how to introduce the Blues and improvisation to an ensemble in a safe and secure way, for both the educator and the learners. We will explore the blues by incorporating scales, chords, progressions and improvisation with the help of a student demonstration group. This is a great activity to build musical confidence and student ownership of learning.
