Description
In this session, participants will explore the lack of connection between elementary general music and secondary ensembles and discover solutions to bridge the two. Using rhythmic concepts as a case study, this session will explore strategies to scaffold learning beginning in the primary grades. By implementing a linear instructional sequence beginning in early childhood, we can improve student musicianship through adulthood.
