This session addresses the idea that relationships are not a "feel good" aspect of the general music classroom, rather an essential foundation for music learning. Using principles of current research, we will explore how our relationships with students can both shape and be shaped by music. We will engage you in activities and ideas from our classrooms, and encourage you to reflect on the relational aspect of your own music teaching practice.
