While we live in an age of national and state standards and common core, most of us still spend the majority of our ensemble rehearsal time on developing repertoire for performance. We will explore a variety of criteria for selecting repertoire, with an emphasis on widening the scope of music selection. We will consider a number of variables including string technique, musical style, historical period, genre, etc
