Gail V. Barnes is Professor of Music Education and Director of the USC String Project at the University of South Carolina where she has prepared over 100 teachers for string and orchestra classrooms and studios. She edited Applying Research to String Teaching and Playing for American String Teachers Association and has published in many of the major music education journals. In addition, she has conducted student orchestras throughout the country and presented clinics at national and international conferences.
