After earning her Bachelor’s in Music Education from Wayne State University, Amy spent seven years as a K-12 Band and Music teacher before moving to her current position as the Band Director at Hart Middle School in Rochester Hills, MI. She earned her Master’s Degree in Educational Leadership from Oakland University in 2015 and is in her 12th year of teaching. Amy has also served as an MSBOA adjudicator and EdCamp Detroit organizer. She has presented at the Michigan Music, ArtsFirst!, and Orange County Music Education Multi County Conferences and has guest blogged for Band Directors Talk Shop, Flute Specialists, and Smart Music and writes semi regularly on her own blog.
