With a Bachelor’s degree in Music Education from Grand Valley State University, I began teaching choir and band at Flint Community Schools. This student population was as challenging as it was rewarding. Through this position, I learned that all students from any socio-economic status deserve quality music education. While working there, I also completed my graduate degree at the University of Michigan in Flint. My emphasis was in Theatre and Community, where I gained experience working and performing within the community.
Currently, I am a general music teacher in Bloomfield Hills Schools. This diverse population continues to develop and change as we see an increase in students of refugee status.
