Dr. Gibbs is an associate professor of music education at Grand Valley State University. She teaches courses in elementary music methods, and she supervises music education students during their teacher assisting and student teaching semesters. Her professional interests include research into effective music teaching practices as well as music teaching and learning interactions. Dr. Gibbs has presented her research at state, regional, and national music education conferences. Her professional memberships include the National Association for Music Education and the Society for Research in Music Education.
