Philip David DeYoung is a freelance musician living and working in West Michigan. As a music director, Philip's credits include recent and upcoming performances at Western Michigan Christian High School, Reeths‐Puffer High School, Mona Shores High School, Muskegon Community College, Muskegon Civic Theatre, and Hope Summer Repertory Theatre. Furthermore, Philip has been recently been named the Music Director of the Muskegon Area Honors Orchestra, an orchestra in residence at Muskegon Community College. In addition to his growing private Horn studio (which currently has students from many schools in West Michigan), he is also a very active theatre pit musician, with recent and upcoming performance credits in both Michigan and Illinois. In 2017, Philip was named as one of Muskegon Lakeshore Chamber of Commerce’s “Future 15,” a group of 15 emerging leaders under 40 who are making a significant difference along the Muskegon lakeshore.
