In the elementary, middle-, and high-school music education classroom, it may prove taxing for instructors to concentrate on teaching the curriculum when faced with unexpected student behaviors. Often, these behavioral problems are caused by a lack of present moment awareness on the part of both educators and students. This session, from two career music educators, proposes crafted verbal and kinesthetic exercises to incorporate mindfulness in the classroom.
