MASTA/MSBOA Teachers Orchestra
Friday, January 24, 2025
7:00 PM - 9:00 PM
Description
Looking to recharge your musicianship, rehearsal strategies, and conducting techniques through an active participatory session? Join us for the annual MMC Teachers Orchestra where we will be joined by clinician Anthony Elliott (cellist and Emeritus Professor of Music, University of Michigan) for an afternoon of music making. After an opening session remembering what it is like to be a “student” again, the Teachers Orchestra will serve as the demonstration/lab group for the Conducting Symposium, giving participants the opportunity to learn and observe techniques from several conductors. The Teacher Orchestra experience will culminate in a Friday night performance for students, family, and friends!
