This session is specially geared for educators who have to teach jazz band, but never played a "jazz instrument" or just didn't play jazz in school. Topics covered will include how to set up the ensemble (and why), how to make your band swing in 30 seconds or less, decoding jazz articulations, materials to get to help your students sound more authentic, and great repertoire to help your jazz band sound the best it can right away!
