Demonstration of resources, tools, and techniques used in the band classroom to help create a collaborative experience between the high school band and middle school feeder program. Proven techniques will showcase usage of games, lessons, events, and cross-curricular and grade level opportunities for teachers to facilitate the learning and practice of leadership skills, inclusion in the classroom, usage of restorative practices and trauma-based approach. Teachers will be able to experience and leave with practical applications to use in the classroom in order to promote engagement, increase retention, promote leadership, and build relationships.
