Ukulele for 5th Graders Lesson Sequence

Description
I will present my sequence from beginning ukulele to 5th graders from 1st holding the instrument, strumming, decoding and reading chord charts, to playing 12 bar blues and writing lyrics for a blues song.

Learning Objective 1
Teachers will learn how to break down and present proper ukulele grip and strumming skills.
Learning Objective 2
Teachers will learn how to teach students to decode and make meaning of the reading chords to play on the ukulele. I feel this is an important skill so that students can play recorder and acquire new chords outside of the music room, taking what they learn and applying it to songs they want to play.
Learning Objective 3
Teachers will see a way to present the 12 bar blues and writing a song.
