Description
Would you like to play grade 5 & 6 literature with your HS band? Developing a "literature ladder" through your program makes this much more possible, even in smaller schools. Mike and Cindy regularly played A & AA literature with their HS bands, and they will show you how they sequenced the literature in their younger groups to be able to allow their groups to more easily perform this advanced literature.

Learning Objective 1
The learner will be given ideas about why "literature ladders" and sequencing of literature is important to advancement of student skills from beginning band to graduation and beyond.
Learning Objective 2
The learner will be given ideas about how to sequence literature within their own programs, regardless of school size, beginner grade level or scheduling configuration, to provide maximum student growth and achievement.
Learning Objective 3
The learner will be given strategies to map their own, personalized to their program's needs, literature sequence. Topics will include: music rotation, literature selection, and what to avoid to create problems within the sequencing strategies.
