Middle school is comprised of some of the toughest years for even the best student. It is our job as their teacher to understand their quickly changing personalities, know how to reach them most effectively, and design our classrooms so they can feel successful. Strategies collected over the last 25 years will be introduced, as well as why they work with this unique group of students. The presenter will also share insight as to what middle school parents/guardians do/do not understand and how to keep them engaged in their student's musical education.
