As music educators, we often counsel our students to use a metronome while practicing. But do students really know how to do that? And more importantly…do we? In this presentation, we will dissect the metronome’s capabilities and provide some concrete ways to improve how individual players and large ensembles can better utilize the metronome to its full potential.
