As instrumental music teachers, we have endless responsibilities. This session focuses on building fundamentals in 20 minutes or less, every rehearsal, playing "the long game" of musicianship. Oftentimes directors become distracted or hyper-focused on individual notes and rhythms in the context of literature preparation. This session offers ideas on how to incorporate rhythm studies, tone production, sight reading, and technique into rehearsal each day, improving the overall musicianship of ensemble members.
