The effect of seed tuber size on dormancy and changes in endogenous hormones of double cropping potatoes
Description
10–20 g, 30–40 g, 50–60 g seed tubers were used to investigate the dormancy characteristics. The larger seed tubers sprouted significantly earlier than smaller ones. Regardless of the tuber size, the decline of ABA content during deep dormancy and increase of GA since the onset of sprouting were evident. However, there was negative correlation in ABA content during deep dormancy, while positive correlation in GA and Cytokinin content after the dormancy released.
