Caroline Gray is the Assistant Program Leader of the Potato Breeding and Selection Program at Colorado State University. She is based at the San Luis Valley Research Center, which is located in a unique potato production area because of its high altitude (7,600 ft.) and it is surrounded by 12,000-14,000 foot mountains. Caroline received her B.S. (1998) and M.S. (2001) from Virginia Tech in Soils and Plant Breeding and Genetics, respectively. She worked as a Research Associate for the Soybean Breeding Programs at Virginia Tech (2001-2004) and at the University of Arkansas (2004-2010). Caroline has assisted in the development of new Colorado potato varieties at the SLVRC for CSU for the past 10 years.
