After graduating from Tulane, Jennifer began working as an epidemiologist with the HIV surveillance section in 2011. As the program has expanded and joined the programmatic division (Division of HIV/STD Programs), Jennifer spearheaded the data linkage project between the surveillance and care data systems allowing for a more complete picture of the HIV epidemic in Michigan. This linkage is used regularly to assist field staff in linking persons back to care and assess unmet need across specific populations.
