Name
Securing Funding to Prevent & End Homelessness: Case Studies in Successful Advocacy
Description
The nonprofit sector is challenged with the need for ongoing and persistent fundraising in order to accomplish the work that needs to be done. In addition to traditional grant-seeking, organizations and coalitions in Michigan have found success in advocating at local and state levels for government funding both for one-time as well as on-going allocations. Session participants will hear about a few case studies of effective advocacy and will learn strategies for doing similar advocacy in their own organizations and communities.
