Kirstie is driven by the opportunity to give underrepresented groups a voice and make life better for people through state government. As a lobbyist at Khoury Johnson Leavitt, Kirstie supports her clients in strategically engaging with state government to further their causes. She has ten years of experience working in and around government, including positions in the State House, State Senate, and Administration. Since joining KJL, Kirstie helped secure a M appropriation for supportive housing services, a total of .6M over two budget cycles for free tax prep so eligible households can claim the EITC, and .25M for an emergency shelter in the Upper Peninsula.
Kirstie is a graduate of Michigan State University with a B.S. in Urban and Regional Planning and a B.A. in German. She is an alumna of the Fulbright U.S. Student Program and Michigan Political Leadership Program.
