Andy LaBarre has represented District 7 (Ann Arbor) of the Washtenaw County Board of Commissioners since 2013 and has previously chaired the board and served in all board leadership positions. His main focus has been strengthening the County’s human service capacity. He authored the 2017 Mental Health and Public Safety millage and led or supported numerous efforts such as 10-year labor contracts, redevelopment of the former juvenile detention facility, and others. He serves on the Washtenaw County Community Mental Health board and the Continuum of Care. He lives with his wife and two children in Ann Arbor.
