Description

*this session is eligible for NASW CE credits

In this session, Michigan land banks and the Center for Community Progress will present on the role land banks play in housing ecosystems - improving property conditions and growing the housing stock - in communities throughout the state. Community Progress will share an overview of land banks and the unique tools they have to support the development of new housing opportunities. You will hear directly from land banks that have rehabilitated long-vacant properties, constructed infill housing on their vacant lots, and supported other larger housing construction and redevelopment initiatives to increase and diversify housing supply in their communities. This session will demonstrate different ways your community can partner with your local or county land bank, or with the State Land Bank, to further your housing development goals.
