Krista Trout-Edwards, Executive Director, joined the Calhoun County Land Bank Authority in 2011 as part of the Neighborhood Stabilization Program (NSP2) team and was appointed as Executive Director in 2013. She helped develop the Calhoun County Land Bank Authority’s mission and created the framework for its efforts in community stabilization and revitalization. Ms. Trout-Edwards works to promote the mission by partnering with local municipalities and seeks to promote a broader community vision for Calhoun County Land Bank Authority activities and is active at the state level as the co-chair of the Michigan Association of Land Banks. She leads efforts to fund activities through grant applications and partnership. Ms. Trout-Edwards manages revitalization projects throughout the County in collaboration with local municipalities. She has 25 years of experience and a master’s degree from the University of Michigan in Urban and Regional Planning. As part of her graduate studies, she completed a neighborhood study in Flint and an Ameri-Corps internship in Detroit. Previously, she served in Indiana as a County Planner for the Tippecanoe County Area Planning Commission.
