For a scant 25 years, Brett Lenart has learned, lived and worked in Washtenaw County, Michigan. From the Urban and Regional Planning program at Eastern Michigan University, Brett has gone on to work in several municipal organizations, each time trying to contribute just a little support, direction, and concepts to build upon the things that already exist in great places. Including downtown development, historic preservation, economic development, and regional approaches to land use and placemaking, Brett has been lucky to be part of successes, and failures, both important to the lovely chaos of community-making.

In his role today as Planning Manager for the City of Ann Arbor, he works to oversee comprehensive planning, land development, zoning compliance, and historic preservation activities for the City.
