Sue DeVries is a Community Assistance Team (CATeam) Specialist at the Michigan Economic Development Corporation (MEDC). DeVries assists communities in 10 Michigan counties with economic development projects. Before joining the CATeam, DeVries worked in community development at MSHDA. In earlier years, DeVries served as Executive Director at a CHDO and used HUD funds along with other private foundation grant dollars rehabilitate homes and conduct community development in a Grand Rapids neighborhood. DeVries also worked at The Nature Conservancy protecting conservation land and writing government grants. DeVries has an MPA from Grand Valley in Public Administration and a bachelor’s degree from Calvin University.
