Andrea Brown has served as the Executive Director of the Michigan Association of Planning (MAP), the Michigan Chapter of the American Planning Association, since 2004, and as its Information Director prior to that. MAP is one of the largest of APA’s chapters with nearly 4,000 members and serves professional community planners and elected and appointed land use decision makers like planning commissions zoning boards and elected local leaders. Prior to joining the Chapter, she held professional planning positions in both the private and public sectors. She has undergraduate and graduate degrees in urban planning, is an AICP credentialed professional, and a registered lobbyist.
