Using Bandlab to Amplify Student Voice

Friday, January 28, 2022
2:00 PM - 2:45 PM

Description

In this session, participants will learn how to create music in a digital audio workstation (BandLab) as well as discuss how including creative musicianship projects and project-based learning tasks in a school music curriculum supports differentiation and cultural responsiveness, centers student voice, and increases student engagement. BandLab is a free, cloud-based Digital Audio Workstation (DAW). This session will focus on BandLab as the primary digital audio workstation resource, but the skills acquired in this session have broader applications to other DAWs (i.e. SoundTrap, Soundation, GarageBand, Logic, Ableton, etc.). This session will be interactive - participants will need to bring a laptop or tablet with internet connectivity capabilities.
