Corinne Galligan is an elementary music teacher in the Pulaski Community School District in Pulaski, WI, where she has been nominated for the Golden Apple Award and the GRAMMY Music Educator Award. In 2018, she was recognized as a Golden Apple Teacher of Distinction. She earned her Bachelor of Music Education from Eastern Michigan University and her Master of Music in Music Education - Kodály Emphasis from Silver Lake College of the Holy Family. In 2019, Corinne presented her master's research on sea chanteys at the Music of the Sea Symposium during the 40th annual Sea Music Festival at Mystic Seaport Museum in Mystic, CT. She is currently working toward her Certificate in Teaching World Music from the University of St. Thomas in St. Paul, MN. Corinne holds certifications in Kodály, First Steps in Music, Conversational Solfege, and Smithsonian Folkways World Music Pedagogy. She serves as the Elementary General Music Chair on the Wisconsin Music Educators Association Council and as president-elect on the Association of Wisconsin Area Kodály Educators board. Corinne also performs with the Sounds of Silver flute choir, Pulaski Area Community Band, and Wisconsin Symphonic Winds.
